Some cool little Splatoon updates

Hey, everyone—it's me again! I wanted to share a quick update because I had just ordered some equipment to record my gameplay without the television screen and the wall showing in the background.

The setup was pretty gosh-darn cheap, too. Being a mom, cheap is good, right? As long as it does what I need it to do in a decent fashion, I am happy.

So, without further ado, here are the video clips and GIFs. Better recordings were supposed to begin that Monday, and I could not freaking wait.

The equipment I ordered

The first purchase was a small USB 2.0 analog capture device. The original screenshot shows it listed for $9.99 in July 2016. I also bought extra RCA cords so everything could reach and connect properly.

Luckily, I had Amazon Prime, so I could get free two-day shipping. At the time, that felt like forever because I was ready to start recording immediately.

What changed since 2016: Modern consoles, capture cards, streaming software, USB bandwidth, and video connections are completely different. Keep this one for the memories, then use the current troubleshooting guide if your modern setup is freezing.
